This week’s theme is … HOPE
After blue skies on New Year’s Day & fog yesterday …
shared yesterday in Haiku Sky Watch Friday,
I’m HOPING that today’s rain showers
won’t wreak havoc on the Apricot Rose currently blooming
in my front yard, here in Southern California

Thought for Today
“I will be the gladdest thing under the sun!
I will touch a hundred flowers and not pick one.

What a lovely flower! I thought I liked yellow roses best, but I’ve just now changed my favorite to apricot roses!
I like the way it is snowing on your rose. Reminds me of Beauty and the Beast — wasn’t one of the Beauty’s requests from a sister a rose blooming in the dead of winter? (maybe I have my fairy tales mixed up!)
Happy Saturday

My first thought was spring. Then I remembered you live in southern CA and that this is a typical sight in January. How lovely. Enjoy.
Have a terrific day and weekend. Big hug.

How beautiful – and you know I have a weakness for roses. I hope the weather was kind to them.

What beautiful roses! And such a wonderful sign of hope, especially for those of us in “snow country”. As much as I enjoy the snow and snowshoeing, I’m really looking forward to spring wildflowers. Thanks for sharing.

Your roses brought back fond memories. I once had a rose bush of this color. I recieved many nice comments about it. They are very hard to come by here. Thank you for sharing these photos. Lisa

Lovely collage of orange roses. We still have lots of roses blooming here even though we are in drought. Thanks for visiting my blog.

How glorious! I used to have a rose garden and dozens of orchids when I lived in Florida. I just realized how much I miss them!
