What a Difference a Day Makes!
California Skies
blue like this just yesterday
for the Rose Parade …
Telltale sign of wind
‘palm frond’ at the top of this
barren tree next door.
but this morning FOG
turns our blue skies into grey …
looking more like this.
Strange phenomenon
how the skies dawn clear for this
annual event.

The view of the sky in Texas was blocked by fog this morning too. Here now it’s warm and muggy.
Loved the photos.

Yikes, you are really getting the fog this morning. It’s supposed to rain here today so no fog this morning. I’ll be so glad when spring arrives. It’s so very cold.
Have a terrific day. Big hug. 🙂

Great photos! I like fog photos, because I find them very moody… I know, I’m weird 😉

I love the comparison of your shots from blue sky to fog! Amazing how our weather can change on a dime like that!

Wow, what a change in weather. I really miss the blue sky’s in my part of the world. I guess I’ll just have to stop by and visit your blue sky’s. I’m done with winter and ready for summer.

Oh how well I know that fenomena of those quickly changing skies. Your post so well demonstrates that and it was quite a mighty fog you got. Luckily you could enjoy the full glory of the sky the day before for the parade.
The thought of the day was quite apt and made me smile.
Hope you had yourself a lovely Christmas and all the good things for new year to you and yours.

Wow! This is really a very gorgeous sky. You also got a lot of fog. I love fog. We don’t get it much at all here in Hawaii. I miss it.

“What a difference” is right. Such a perfectly clear blue followed by thick gray. Great shots!

I love the blue sky this time of the year. And the landscape is awesome.

I haven’t been to SoCal in decades, but all I saw were fair blue skies. That is a thick soup of fog that seems almost opaque. I like the opposing views!

You certainly see variety in your weather, within a short time span. What beautiful blue skies. 🙂

What amazing skies and so changing. We’ve had way to many grey skies here in December. The rare days you do see blue sunny skies you almost feel blinded by the light. Love that you continued ‘Giving Thanks’ on your blog.

We really don’t see many blue skies around her in the winter time, but the fog – oh yeah we get that. Beautiful shots!
