HAIKU
Looking toward the beach …
and across the street, the fog
obscures our blue skies …
Inland foggy view
just as dense … Methinks I’ll stay
indoors for a while.

I agree that itยดs okay to stay inside when it looks like that. It was also nice that you snapped these densely atmospheric photos before you went inside!

Not participating, but wanted to comment. I live in the central valley of California and we get fog like this in the winter. Really dense at times where you can’t see much in front of you. I stay in too.
Have a great day and weekend. Big hug. ๐

We get some fog in November as well. Once in a while it settles to the surface of Powell Lake and we are either trapped in town or at our cabin. I prefer the latter if you know what I mean. For Comedy Plus, my grandparents used to live in Modesto. We would drive there for Thanksgiving every year. I distinctly recall tucking in behind a Greyhound bus traveling at 65+ to cut the way for us. Probably not the smartest thing to do in hindsight. I invite everyone to come see my Coastal BC sunrise and sunset. — Margy

Foggy days have their own beauty, don’t they? Especially when you can stay inside. Lots of early morning fog here in all seasons.

Hey there, I thought I recognized your gravatar! Hope your Thanksgiving was awesome. And I love what you’ve done to combine Skywatch and Haiku Fridays – woo hoo! I might try that myself, one of these ol’ days.

The photos were rather gray but the haiku weren’t. I enjoyed both.
I like your new look and new name also. ๐

I can’t remember seeing a foggy day like this in southern CA; one that is truly needed along with the rain. Nice Haiku and thank you for visiting mine!

Thanks to each of you for checking out my new site! I usually do Haiku Friday Sky Watch at my Sacred Ruminations blog, but decided I might shift that activity over here for a while at least ... just because. I appreciate your visit and your feedback and hope you'll visit again as time permits.
Hugs and blessings,

Wow, I’ve never seen fog at the beach. Are you having unusual weather or is this pretty common? Great photos of it!
