This week’s theme is bridge(s) …
This ‘apparent stairway’ leads to a 2nd bridge across the same stream on the grounds of the Mabel Dodge House in Taos, New Mexico seen spanned by a flatter wooden structure (in similarly various forms) at Sacred Ruminations in another Photo Hunt this weekend. The ‘original photo’ at the top was snapped with my Casio Exlim ‘point & shoot’ while attending the 2007 Writers Retreat during the summer. Below are 9 variations using filters in Photoshop Elements …
Original Snapshot
3-D Transform
Accented Edges

I think I like Smudge Stick the best. Can’t put my finger on why exactly.

Apart from the original, which I like very much, I like the Fresco Filter and the Poster Edges. I don’t like the Ink Outlines – makes me feel my vision is worse than usual! There seems very little difference between most f the treatments.

I think I like the ink outlines and the poster edges. The ink outlines gives it an impressionist feel that I like, and the poster edges is very clear, but has a slight edge that makes it seem surreal… especially if you don’t know it has been run through a filter.

I love the “Ink Outline”, why because it looks crisp and neat to me 🙂 Thanks for visiting my blog 🙂

Being sort of a purist, I’m partial to the original myself. the others are interesting though.

Wow those are all really great, but my favorite is the ink outlines. I don’t know why but that photo speaks to me, a cool and interesting edit! 😀

Nice bridge and set of enhancements. I am partial to the glowing edges which provides an outline effect and color change. I have posted some Photoshopped images. Glowing sculptures is one. Thanks for visiting my PhotoHunt.

All are really interesting, but really like the glowing edges. I think it reminds me of Hansel & Grettle…a creepy fairy tale.

I was immediately drawn to the Fresco filter image. I don’t have any technical reason why I liked it best–it’s just, when I stare at it, I don’t just remember the time there, I FEEL the time there again.

I like the original snapshot because I like things — and photos — that are “natural”. 🙂

I like all the variations you created, but I think my favorite is still the original. A couple of the variations would make wonderful posters, however.

Is it weird that my favs are the original and the poster edges? Looks like a path I’d like to walk!
